...When I talked with Dr. Irwin, he took the time to really listen to me about my vision issues. He explained to me about how healthy eyes work together for good clear vision. But with only one good eye, mine couldn’t. He suggested a contact lens instead of glasses. I had never really thought about how limiting my sight was with only 1 eye looking through an eyeglass frame. And Dr. Irwin wasn’t just going to give me a prescription and send me on my way. He has taken the time to really make sure that my vision is the best it can be when driving, reading and working at my computer.   Since switching to the contact lens, I’m seeing better than I have in years. ...I am a photographer with a very picky eye. I really have to have everything tack sharp. While I have tried contact lenses before, I have never been able to wear lenses longer than about 3 hours a day, which makes it almost pointless. When I first came into the practice it was explained to me that my problem was less of a contact problem and more of a dry eye problem. It took multiple months and treatments to prep my eyes for contacts, and while I had no determinable symptoms of dry eye before I began to worry that I just wasn't a contact candidate. After the dry eye treatments we moved onto the contact fitting. Not only was I shocked to be able to immediately wear contacts all day with no issues, the amount of time and care that was given to me by all the doctors to bring my vision to perfection was amazing!! ...My experience with Dr Azman has been the most satisfying eye doctor experiences thus far. Dr Azman, actually cared about my condition and all that was necessary to complete the diagnosis and treatment. ...Dr. Azman is amazing. He got me an appointment the next day despite having appointments booked for two months. Diagnosed my eye problem after two other ophthalmologists missed it completely. ...Dr Azman and his staff were great. He called me before I even came in and spent time to answer all my questions. The exam was long but well worth it. His extensive exam and testing were amazing. ...I have advanced Keratoconus requiring special contacts which can be very difficult to fit. Dr. Irwin is without a doubt the most knowledgeable doctor I have seen in the 37 years I have had KC. When fitting me with contacts, the process cannot be rushed and Dr. Irwin did not rush, even though I had flown in from outside of the U.S. and only had 10 days to get things right. His staff was A+ and the whole experience was far above my experience with other nationally known U.S. doctors who treat KC. If I was a regular patient without any unusual complications I would probably find a practitioner who accepts insurance or is less expensive. But my case is complicated and complicated is what this practice does best. While expensive, long term I have no doubt that Dr. Irwin has saved me money and given me many more years of comfortable vision, the latter being something other doctor's were not able to do.
