Anterior segment Optical Coherence Tomography OCT, is an FDA-approved device that has advanced as the fundamental instrument for designing and prescribing Scleral Contact Lenses. Optical Coherence Tomography scans the cornea and anterior segment, mapping the corneal surface to provide the optimal detailed analysis for Scleral Lens design and fitting.

The clinical applications of anterior segment OCT are extremely important when designing and fitting Scleral Lenses. Cross-sectional images of the cornea, anterior chamber, crystalline lens and iris can be obtained in a manner which no other technology can provide. These images are instrumental in the diagnosis and management of many anterior segment disease, and conditions such as keratoconus, corneal transplants, corneal ectasia, and a number of other corneal dystrophies and degenerations.

Utilizing Optical Coherence Tomography technology, Dr. Azman is able to gain a better understanding of many of the complex corneal conditions that he sees. Complex conditions include post Lasik Night Vision Problems, Lasik Glare, Keratoconus, and irregular corneas.  Our goal is to apply our expertise, experience, and technology to allow our patients to regain useful functional vision along with excellent comfort.
